Welcome to the new site! I hope this welcome post finds you well.
In starting off with a new site, I thought it fitting to say a few words about what I intend to do with it. In putting this site together, I have a few main purposes in mind, which I hope to fulfill to some measure in the coming years:
1. A Partial Systematic Worldview – While any worldview would require a massive amount of material to describe in toto, it is profitable to have a systematization of the more significant propositions of one’s worldview. This is helpful not only for those who wish to learn more about the worldview, but also for interacting with others. It is extremely helpful to be able to avoid having to re-invent the wheel in each new exchange, instead being able to reference an existing system of thought that bears on a particular issue, even as incomplete as it may be at the time. So, many things said here may have been said in other places and at other times, but it is my purpose to (at least attempt to) pull them together into a unified system on this site.
2. Commentary on Various Issues – The application of a worldview to the facts of the world expresses itself in the analysis of issues, events, and ideas that others have expressed.
3. A Log of Interactions with Others - Many dialogues can be instructive and edifying for others to read. Inasmuch as I have such dialogues with others, I will endeavor to record them here.
4. A Source of News/Updates/Links/Current Events/Etc. – Last, but not least, there is the more “traditional” blog role, which posts on this blog will fill from time to time.
It is my hope and prayer that this site will be of great benefit to those seeking the Truth, and that it will honor and glorify God in the endeavor to take every thought captive to the obedience of Christ.
